Shifting Your Life for the Positive With Mindfulness

Grab Interest

Can you see what is beyond your eyes? Mindfulness-based practices increase focus, awareness, and contemplation, sparking and maintaining lifelong interest. Observing the present with curiosity, enthusiasm, and alertness helps us understand our thoughts, emotions, and sensations.

Generate Excitement

So, what exactly are your concerns? Did you know that people who practice mindfulness have less stress, depression, anger, and worry? In addition, some studies revealed a link between higher levels of mindfulness, lower levels of stress, and higher levels of gratitude, hope, and vitality.

Make Connections

What is the missing link to connect with yourself and others? Consciousness can bridge the gap between ourselves and others.  Mindfulness helps us concentrate on today rather than our past or future, but it also encourages non-judgment of our own and others' experiences, which leads to great relationships.

Why Mindfulness?

Research cited

More mindful people are generally happier and report less anxiety, depressive symptoms, anger, and worries. A higher level of mindfulness is also associated with less stress and more gratitude, hope, and vitality. So, if practicing mindfulness has such powerful potential for our well-being, why aren't we all doing it daily? Unfortunately, we frequently require more guidance and assistance than simply downloading an app. First, we need to learn more about the underlying processes and research behind mindfulness, a scientifically-based training that, combined with psychology education, can transform lives. Mindfulness 101 is intended to walk you through everything you need to fully understand mindfulness and experience the profound effects it can have on your life. Reflect that mindfulness is not for everyone and can be harmful if not introduced and led by a certified mindfulness facilitator. Before proceeding, we recommend that you complete the assessment to determine if mindfulness is suitable for you.

In this training, you will benefit from:

  • One deep dive into a specific element of mindfulness per session
  • Information and practice integrated with research and evidence
  • Small, informal rules that help weave mindfulness into your daily routine
  • An examination of mindfulness in the broader context of life and how we perceive things
  • Understanding the foundation of psychological processes that mindfulness rests upon
  • A detailed handbook with worksheets and homework
  • A community of fellow participants
  • The ability to ask me anything about a science-based mindfulness training that changes lives in five weeks

Skeptical

Do you want to know the theory and method behind the Mindfulness101 program? The Mindfulness101 program introduces the study and theory behind mindfulness and provides practical guidance on establishing and deepening a mindfulness practice. This includes advice on setting up a practice space, creating supportive habits and relationships with others, and understanding how to respond to difficult emotions. In addition to offering an overview of mindfulness theory and techniques, this program also provides practical tips for integrating mindfulness into everyday life to maximize its practice's benefits.

Curious

Are you curious about mindfulness as a secular practice? A just analysis of philosophical and psychological sources argues that questioning with a sense of openness and fairness is essential to understanding complex issues. A psychologist, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, says, “the ability to ask questions and seek answers is one of the major sources of creativity.” The cultivation of a curious yet skeptical stance during critical examination is emphasized in the Mindfulness101 program. We can make better decisions and understand the world by applying critical thinking to our daily lives. “Curiosity is the most immediate incentive for research,” said philosopher Immanuel Kant.

Distress

Do you experience anxiety, stress, or trouble sleeping? In times of stress and anxiety, remembering the lessons of Mindfulness 101 can be a great resource. Depression and anxiety can be alleviated through meditation and deep breathing, which help the mind return to the present moment. Through the practices learned in this program, you can discover how to control your feelings and understand how your thoughts, emotions, and actions impact your health and happiness. Mindfulness also has the additional benefits of enhancing concentration and introspection. Consistent training can help you live in the moment, develop nonjudgmental acceptance of yourself and others, and find contentment within.

Are you ready?

This is perfect for you if you are looking for how to:

Meditate

Have you tried to meditate and did not work? Meditation is an excellent way to practice mindfulness while giving yourself time to rest and reflect. It can help you find inner calm and peace by making you more aware of your thoughts and feelings, allowing you to make better decisions. Meditation involves nonjudgmental observation of thoughts, feelings, and body. In addition, meditation can help you reduce stress and anxiety, build resilience, increase self-awareness, and improve concentration with regular practice. There are many different types of meditation and ways to practice them, so it is critical to find one that is right for you. Mindfulness 101 may help!

Find Meaning

Do you ever feel like something is missing in your life? Do you wish you had a sense of purpose and clarity? The Mindfulness101 program can help you with this. Developing a conservative viewpoint is rewarding; reflecting on your life and what makes you happy can help you find meaning in your daily activities and relationships. It's a means of recognizing and accepting the present moment without trying to change or fix it. It can help you find meaning in your life by allowing you to reflect on your positive and negative experiences. Due to the process, you may discover a newfound compassion for yourself and others.

Enhance the body, mind, and emotions

Tired? Want to connect your body, mind, and emotions? The body, mind, and emotions affect our health. Mindfulness is a great way to manage these connections and improve energy, vitality, and health. Listening to our thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations helps us become self-aware and make conscious choices that honor these connections. Awareness can also increase physical health awareness, creating healthier habits that are easier to maintain and improving concentration, sleep, and emotional connection. With the Mindfulness101 program, you will learn to practice mindfulness anywhere, anytime, with an open heart and the intention to be mindful.

About Your Instructor

Maria D. Baez here. I live in the lovely New York suburb of Glen Cove. I am an organizational leadership psychologist, consultant, and certified workplace mindfulness facilitator. Most people are unaware that I am interested in Spirituality, Metaphysics, Cyberpsychology, Neuroscience, BioGeometry, Mindlessness-Awareness and the benefits of Mindfulness training for improving one's mental faculties. In addition, I enjoy gardening, video games, karaoke, and watching science documentaries, thrillers, and comedies on Netflix with my family or alone. However, my life was not all roses and chocolates. I dealt with my daughter's health issues, broken and toxic relationships, imposter syndrome, and the need to learn to care for oneself. Furthermore, I overcame the difficulties of single parenting, the struggles of my youth and adolescence, and the anguish of losing my mother. Also, I know what it takes to thrive in a foreign land with an unfamiliar language and customs; as a result, I made a point of taking in my surroundings with profound gratitude and appreciation.

Since I am no longer in a demoralizing mental state of being jobless and houseless, I am inspired to present as my best self because I believe I am uniquely positioned to offer advice on triumphing over adversity. In the end, I realized that I control my thoughts and my soul guides my destiny, and that realization fueled the creation of the Mindfulness 101 course.

What others are saying about Mindfulness

“It has helped me see and understand my helpful and unhelpful habitual ways of thinking and behaving, which has helped me respond differently, more kindly and compassionately to myself, others, and life’s challenges.”

― Karen Liebenguth, coach, mindfulness trainer

“Learning about mindfulness taught me what equanimity means, and that’s something I knew that I needed in my life. Now, I’m able to sit with my emotion and turn toward it and accept it. I can see my emotion as a leaf that’s gently floating down a stream past me. Knowing that my negative emotion will eventually pass allows me to embrace it without trying to resist what I’m experiencing in that very moment.”

― Chris Boutté started practicing mindfulness after being diagnosed with congestive heart failure

Big news

This program exemplifies the secular practice of Mindfulness to the world and its application to changes in daily life. It gives a comprehensive overview of science-based tools that can be applied to five weeks of changes in one's life. Participants are thrilled to take part in the process of self-exploration and self-improvement. The study provides evidence for the effectiveness of Mindfulness in reducing stress and anxiety, increasing focus and concentration, improving emotional regulation, and enhancing overall well-being. Additionally, it offers advice on how to establish a mindful lifestyle that is tailored to individual needs. Overall, this study shows that Mindfulness can be an effective tool for personal growth in many aspects of life.

The top questions people would have for me are:

  • What is mindfulness?
  • How do you always find a way to make things happen?
  • Why are you practicing Mindfulness? Is your religion now?
  • Can you show me to resolve this or that with mindfulness?
  • Why don’t you look like you have problems?
  • How do you always do to see the positive side of everything?
  • When are you going to stop pursuing higher education in your life?

Living in the present

Only the present moment exists. Yes, we have plans, objectives, and a vision for the future. But now is the only opportunity we have, and it is sufficient. We can clear our minds of the remnants of yesterday. We can free ourselves of tomorrow's worries. We can now be present. We are available for the present moment and day. By being fully present now, we reach the fullness of tomorrow.

So, child, don't be afraid, a voice says. No regrets. Give up your grievances. Take away the pain because all you have is the present moment. Be still. Be here. Trust. Now is all you have, and it is more than enough. So, if you wish to begin living in the present, you may want to agree that... I affirm that everything is perfect around me because everything is great within me.

The next session starts in November!

“When we commit ourselves to paying attention in an open way, without falling prey to our own likes and dislikes, opinions and prejudices, projections and expectations, new possibilities open up and we have a chance to free ourselves from the straitjacket of unconsciousness.”
